6 killed, 37 injured in road accident

Lucknow, Sep 25 (UNI) At least six people were killed and 37 others injured when a private bus overturned in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh today.

State home secretary Pramod Kumar Pandey here said the incident occurred near Ramala village, when the speeding bus was on its way to Badaut from Tanda.

The deceased were identified as Ram Nivas (50), Veer Pal (44), Raj Singh (55), Jai Chand (65), Gondu (35) and Saroj (35).

The injured were later rushed to nearby hospital, while two seriously injured were sent for treatment in Meerut and Delhi.

Meanwhile, senior officials reached the spot.
