Security beefed up at Ram Janmabhoomi Complex
Faizabad, Sept 24: Security has been beefed up at the Ram Janmabhoomi Complex in view of the festival season.
Senior Superintendent of Police Sunil Kumar Gupta today said with the terror threat looming large during the coming festivals, Durga Puja in this holy city would be celebrated under tight security cover.
This holy city figures prominently on the terror motives of the anti-national forces, especially during festivals, which not only attracts revellers from the district but also from rest of the country, he said.
To avoid any prospect of terrorist acts during Durga Puja celebrations and the holy month of Ramzan, police here been deployed at all Durga Puja 'pandals' and mosques, while bomb squads has been keep on standby, Mr Gupta added.
Meanwhile, police has been asked to keep an eye on all supected elements.
While 'Shardiya Navratra' started yesterday, the holy month of Ramzan is beginning from tomorrow.
