Manipur Board employees decry Board's pathetic condition
Imphal, Sep 24 (UNI) The Manipur Board of Secondary Education (BSEM) employees union has threatened to launch a stir from October 4 if a permanent Chairman is not appointed for the Board.
The union members said the board had been functioning without a full-time chairman and secretary.
'' The board has become very inactive and if the condition prevails then it will affect the future of the students as well as the employees,'' the employees union leader said.
The administrative works had come to a halt and printing of text books were also stopped due to non availability of papers as the board provides paper to the printing houses, the Board officials said.
A senior IAS officer who had been given the charge of the Board was not able to give full attention to the Board, the employees said.
The Board's secretary had been suspended for alleged irregularities earlier by the government.
