Hubli/Belgaum to have cyber police stations
Hubli, Sep 24 (UNI) Karnataka Home minister M P Prakash today said Belgaum and Hubli will soon have Cyber police stations.
Talking to newsmen here, he said steps were being taken to strengthen the police department by acquiring more sophisticated weapons. More than 300 subinspectors would be recruited in addition to the present recruitment of police constables.
Replying to a question, Mr Prakash said there would not be 'question hour' during special session of the two houses of the state legislature beginning at Belgaum tomorrow. However, there will be 'zero' hour and call attention motions could be tabled.
To another question, he said the government was ready to discuss the matter if the congress members raised the 'mining corruption' issue. But, it has been decided to only take up only two subjects including passage of legislation on 'office of profit' and matters relating to overall development of north Karnataka region, he added.
