George Fernandes to join Samajwadi party soon: Mulayam

Hubli, Sep 24 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajavadi Party (SP) President Mulayam Singh Yadav today indicated that senior Janata Dal (United) leader and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) convener George Fernandes will join his party soon.

Talking to newsmen here, he said already three rounds of talks have been held with Mr Fernandes, who has expressed his intention to join SP without any conditions. A final decision would be taken in another 15 days.

Refusing to say anything on formation of the third front, Mr Singh said it was not the proper time to talk about it.

Party General Secretary Amar Singh, who was also present at the airport along with Mr Mulayam Singh said delay in joining the party by Mr Fernandes was due to the reason that he was unable to leave NDA totally.

Party members of parliament Jayaprada and Jaya Bacchan were also present.
