Belgian Embassy official stabbed to death; assailant surrenders
New Delhi, Sep 24 (UNI) A 47 year-old woman employed at the Belgian Embassy here was stabbed to death at her E-block residence in the posh Vasant Vihar locality of South Delhi late last night, police said.
The Belgian national, Isabelle Dissoy, a secretary at the Embassy, was stabbed 22 times with a knife in the kitchen by her car driver following an argument and was declared dead at the Safdarjung Hospital.
She was taken to the hospital after being found lying in a pool of blood by her 14-year-old son, police said.
The driver Vijaypal Choudhary, missing with her silver-coloured car after the crime, surrendered before the police at R K Puram nearby later this evening, a police spokesman said.
Ms Dissoy, who was not part of the Embassy's diplomatic staff, had been staying in the E-9/12 ground floor home in Vasant Vihar for the last three years.
Chaudhary had been her driver for the past two years.
Soon after being stabbed, Ms Dissoy narrated the incident to her son over phone. The son called in the police.
