Belgian Embassy official killed

New Delhi, Sep 24 (UNI) A 45 year-old female employee of the Belgian Embassy here was stabbed to death at her E-block residence in the posh Vasant Vihar locality of South Delhi early today, police said.

Isabelle Dessoy, a personal assistant to an official at the Embassy, was rushed to the Safdarjang Hospital by her son living nearby whom she had rung up for help.

She was stabbed 22 times and was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

Police have launched a search for her driver Vijay, who is absconding with a silver-coloured Santro car belonging to the victim.

Police in nearby states too had been alerted.

Police was also questioning her servants and two guards posted in the colony in connection with the murder.

The incident occurred well past midnight, hours after a private party at her residence. The driver was among the prime suspects since he was absconding and had an altercation with Dessoy last night, police said.
