Bandit chieftain killed

Shivpuri, MP, Sep 24 (UNI) A dacoit chieftain, who carried a reward of Rs 15,000 and broke out of Karera Jail last year after slaying a guard, was neutralised along with an accomplice in an encounter today on a sugarcane farm near Behgawanpul.

''Following a tip-off, the Malthu gang was surrounded. Malthu and Golu Khangar, who carried a reward of Rs 2,000, were killed in the ensuing encounter,'' said SP Sajid Farid Shapu.
