Airtel lays footprint in entire NE region
Guwahati, Sept 23 (UNI) India's leading mobile services provider Bharti Airtel today announced its presence in all the seven state capitals of the North Eastern region.
Speaking at a function, joint vice-president of Bharti Airtel Sanjay Kapoor informed that with the launch of its mobile services in Itanagar on Sepember 19, Airtel has completed a significant milestone of crossing five lakh customers in Asom and NE states within 17 months of launching its mobile services in Asom.
Mr Kapoor said, ''It is indeed a remarkable achievement not only for us but also for the country as it clearly underlines the coming of age of the Indian telecom sector.'' ''The landmark is a testimony to the quality of service that we offer to all our customers across India, we will continue to invest in building on our state-of-art network to provide an unmatched quality of services that covers all the 28 states of the country,'' he said.
East Hub Director K Srinivas said, ''Airtel has always been driven by a vision to provide value, trust and innovation to its customers and we will continue to bring world class mobile services to serve better in the N E Region.''
