Unidentified assailants shot dead MP
Kathmandu, Sep 23 (UNI) Unidentified assailants shot dead a Member of Parliament this morning in Eastern Nepal.
A local television reported an unidentified armed group shot and killed Member of Parliament (MP) Krishna Charan Shrestha while he was taking regular morning walk in Lahan, the headquarters of Siraha district.
Shrestha, who represented the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) in the House of Representative died on the way to Siraha Hospital, the television said quoting the local Police.
''Two of the three assailants were killed after angry locals chased and beat the duo to death as they attempted to flee the scene,'' the television said.
No one has claimed the responsibility so far.
