Rs four crore allocated for minority welfare
Hyderabad, Sep 23 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minorities Finance Corporation Chairman Farook Hussain today said the state government had allocated Rs four crore to take up training programmes for unemployed youth in 2006.
Speaking at a valedictory function of the week long training programme for Urdu journalists organized by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) here, Mr Farook said the corporation would provide financial assistance to the trainee journalists to purchase computers for their professional use.
Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi said it was imperative that Urdu journalists should undergo training in in-page computer software to upgrade their skills.
PIB Director Dr CGK Murthy and senior Media and Communications Officer Shujath Ali were also present on the occasion, a PIB release said.
