Reliance notifies gas find in KG Basin to DGH

Mumbai, Sep 23 (UNI) The Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries (RIL) today said it has notified Directorate General of Hydrocarbon (DGH) about discovery of gas in a block in Krishna Godavari basin off eastern coast of the country.

An RIL release, however, said the potential commercial interest of the discovery is yet to be established.

It said it notified the DGH of the find '' in KG-OSN-2001/1 (NELP-III) block , '' the company has named Dhirubhai 28 after its founder.

The notification, the company said, has been made in terms of the production sharing contract (PSC) between RIL and the Union Government.
