Ramzan fasting begins from September 25

New Delhi, Sep 23: The holy month of Ramzan begins Monday as the moon was not visible on the 29th Shaban-ul-Muazzam of the Islamic calendar, Muslim religious heads announced here today.

Since the moon was not visible today, the first day of Ramzan fasting falls on Monday, the Shahi Imams of the Jama Masjid and the Fatehpuri mosques Syed Ahmed Bukhari and Mufti Mukarram Ahmed, besides the Imarat-e-Sharaiyah-Hind said in separate statements.
