Punjab Police to launch monthly magazine

Chandigarh, Sep 23 (UNI) Punjab Police will soon launch an official monthly magazine in Punjabi to project its friendly image and to promote police-public relations.

Presiding over a meeting in this regard here, State Director General of Police S S Virk said the magazine would endeavor to portray a public friendly image of police and act as a bridge between the police and the people.

He said the magazine would disseminate proper information and facts regarding successful detection of important and sensational cases in the state.

The journal would strive to unearth abundant talent among police personnel in the state by publishing their literary, artistic and co-curricular activities, he added.
