Protect Hindu civilisation: Sudarsan
Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 23 (UNI) Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsangh Chalak K C Sudarsan today said the nation and its encompassing Hindu civilisation should be protected from the onslaughts of inimical forces, both national and international.
Addressing a two-day seminar on ''cultural nationalism, conflict or confluence of civilisations'' here he said, this could be achieved only if we stood strong and united.
He said ''we stood for a harmonious synthesis among nations and not their obliteration. The idea of creating a stateless condition levelling all human beings to one particular plane of physical existence, erasing their individual and groups' traits, was foreign to us.'' ''The world state of their concept would therefore evolve out of a federation of autonomous and self-contained nations, under a common centre linking them all,'' he added.
Pointing out that ''our forefathers had taught that if they could forge unity in this land of such a vast diversity then the same could be emulated in other parts of the world also, he said Unity in diversity would become the guiding principle of our national life.'' UNI CGV GKT MS KN1830
