Panic over bomb hoax

Bokaro, Sep 23 (UNI) Security was stepped up following reports that bombs had been planted on the collectorate and sessions court premises in this district of Jharkhand's today.

Superintendent of Police Manvinder Singh Bhatia said a letter written by an unidentified person was sent to him and the district judge informing them about the presence of bombs on the collectorate and the sessions court premises.

Mr Bhatia said the information turned out to be a hoax but they were not taking any chances and security has been strengthening.
