One killed, 5 injured in clash

Lucknow, Sep 23 (UNI) At least one person was killed and five others were injured after two groups clashed over dissolution of the management committee of a temple in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh today.

Following the dispute over the management committee of the temple, in Kairana area, it was disbanded a few days ago. When committee member Raj Kumar Gautam moved the court in this regard, a stay order was given.

Later, Kumar accompanied by others, reached near the temple and clashed with the other group. The dispute soon snowballed into a full-fledged fight, in which one Naresh was killed after one of the group resorted to firing, while five others were injured. The injured were rushed to the hospital.

Meanwhile, police have been deployed to avoid any untoward incident in the area.

A case was registered.
