No stability threat to coalition Govt in K'taka: Minister
Bangalore, Sep 23 (UNI) Karnataka Home Minister M P Prakash today exuded confidence that the JD(S)-BJP coalition Government in the State would complete its full term as it faced no threat to its stability.
Speaking to newspersons after holding a review meeting of top police officers here, he referred to the statement of JD(S) President H D Deve Gowda expressing apprehension about the stability of the Government following controversial remarks made by BJP Minister D H Shankaramurthy against Tipu Sultan and said Mr Gowda, as senior leader of the party, had every right to express his opinion and every partyman would respect it.
Mr Prakash said all contentious issues, including holding 'Shobha yatra' as demanded by the Bharatiya Janata Party, would be discussed and sorted out at the coordination committee meeting of the allies.
Earlier, he reviewed the law and order situation in the State and instructed the police officials to take all measures to ensure peace and tranquillity.
