NCP announces heads of frontal organisations

New Delhi, Sep 23: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar today announced the names of the heads of its four frontal organisations along with those of the party's various departments and cells.

The heads of party's four frontal organisations are Nivedita Mane - President, Nationalist Mahila Congress, Conrad K Sangma- President Nationalist Youth Congress, Chaudhary Ved Pal- President, Nationalist Kisan Congress and K J Josemon - President, Nationalist Student Congress.

Sanat Mehta is being appointed as the Chairman, Committee for Planning and Training, Zafar Akhtar, Chairman, Department for Minorities, Arvind Prabhu, Chairman, Department for Physically Handicapped Persons, Dr Sameer Kumar Banerjee, Convenor, Department for Foreign Affairs and Mani C Kappan, Convenor, Department for Overseas Indians.

Mr Pawar has appointed Y P Trivedi as Convenor, Economic Cell, Somjobhai Damor as Chairman, Scheduled Tribes Cell, Sharad Rao as Chairman, Labour Cell, Laxman Dhobale, Chairman, Scheduled caste cell, Parminder Singh as Chairman Seva Dal and Rajeev Jha as Convenor, legal Cell, according to a party release issued here today.
