Naxals attack police outpost in AP

Rajahmundry, Sep 23 (UNI) Naxals attacked a police outpost in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh early today.

In the ensuing encounter which lastd for 20 minutes, no one was injured. Later a combing operation was launched in th area, police said.

There were 15 police personnel in Pedamallapuram outpost.

Officer on special duty V Satyanarayana visited the spot and reviewed the situation and said more police personnel will be deployed in the area.
