National Federation of the Blind Scholarship Scheme launched

New Delhi, Sep 23 (UNI) Union Social Welfare Minister Meira Kumar and Delhi Lt Governor B L Joshi launched a scholarship scheme of the National Federation of the Blind here today.

The scheme, open to meritorious blind students anywhere in the country, comprises a grant of Rs 1,000 per month, a Federation statement said.

As many as 417 scholarships were distributed among students on the occasion of the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Federation's Vocational Rehabilitation Centre and Office Building.
