McDonald to open 100 new stalls in India
Mumbai, Sep 23: The Hardcastle Restaurants Pvt Ltd, which is the joint venture partner of McDonald in India, has its plans to open 100 new outlets within next couple of years.
Attending 'My story' session with CEO, Punjabi Chandu Halwai Karachiwala, Sachin Bahl, the managing director of the McDonald India, Amit Jatiya, revealed that his company was all set to open its branches at 100 new locations within the country during the next couple of years. The company has already approved its plan to open its food chain in 35 new locations of the country by the end of the current fiscal. The programme was held by The Indus Enterpreneurs (TiE), which is a non-profit organisation which aims at fostering entrepreneurship globally.
Later talking to mediapersons, he made it clear that his company had no plans to go for franchising its shops learning from bitter experience it had in past. However, he added that his company may think of going for home grown products in due course of time.
Talking about the keys of success for an entrepreneur, he said that these are 'location', 'operation' and 'building of a team'.
The next programme to be held by TiE is a workshop on women entrepreneurs in Mumbai on Tuesday. The thought leader of marketing, Rama Vijapurkar, and Reena Gupta of Jumbo Bada POaav food chain are likely to address the gathering on the day.
