Lyngdoh Committee recommendations already in force in VNSGU

Surat, Sep 23 (UNI) While the Supreme Court yesterday accepted the recommendations of the Lyngdoh Committee report on student election reforms, the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) here claims most of the recommendations are already in force in that university.

A senior VNSGU administrative official said that recommendations regarding age limit, hand-written posters and limit on election expenses are already in force in the VNSGU and in the colleges affiliated to it.

The syndicate, however, may revise a few rules as per the Apex Court guidelines, he added.
