Leave of Agri employees postponed

Agartala, Sep 23 (UNI) The Tripura Government has postponed the leave of employees of the Agriculture department following reports of insects attacking the paddy fields in the state.

The state government has taken all possible precautionary measures to control the further attacks.

Besides, the department has constituted 'special squad' in the state to face any kind of eventuality arisen out from the present weather.

Some reports stated that insects attacked paddy fields in large number of areas in the northern part of the state, official sources said.

The state govenment had also instructed the concerned department to spray ncecessary insecticides to save the crops.
