'K'taka Cabinet to be expanded after special session'
Shimoga (Karnataka), Sep 23: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today said he would expand his Ministry immediately after the five-day special session of the Legislature in Belgaum, commencing on September 25.
Addressing a press conference here, he said he would also appoint Chairpersons for various Boards and Corporations soon.
Justifying the Government's decision to derecognise over 2,000 primary schools for violating the State's language policy, he said it was essential for the survival of Kannada.
Mr Kumaraswamy reiterated that the border row with Maharashtra was a closed chapter and charged the neighbouring State with ''unnecessarily creating problem with a political motive.'' Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, who was also present, said the Mahajan Commission report on the border dispute was final.
