High Court order lifting Cola ban 'unfortunate': LDF

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 23 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (Marxist)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) today said the Kerala High Court order lifting the Government order banning the production and sale of Coca-cola and Pepsi was ''quite disappointing.'' The Government had banned the soft drinks following the findings that it was hazardous to health, LDF convenor Vaikom Viswam said in a statement here.

The ban on cola products had earned world wide appreciation, he said and added that the Government should go ahead with its stand on banning the Colas.

The Government should take all leagal steps in this regard immediatly, he added.
