Govinda's nephew remanded in police custody till Sep 27
Mumbai, Sep 23 (UNI) Janmendra Ahuja, nephew of actor-turned-MP Govinda who was arrested by the Juhu police last night in a molestation case, was today remanded in police custody till September 27.
He was produced before the Bandra Court this afternoon.
Janmendra, son of Govinda's brother Kirti Ahuja, was arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by Dayanand Chincholikar, who is PA to Maharashtra Food and Civil Supplies minister Sunil Tatkare.
Chincholikar alleged that his wife was molested by Janmendra and he himself was injured when he intervened.
Juhu police said the incident happened three days ago and the complaint was filed on the same night. After investigations, Janmendra was booked under section 326 of the IPC (molestation and causing grievous hurt).
