Govinda's nephew arrested; sent in four-day police custody
Mumbai, Sep 23 (UNI) Janmendra Ahuja, nephew of actor-turned-MP Govinda who was arrested in connection with a molestation case last night, was today remanded in police custody till September 27.
Juhu Police said Dayanand Chincholikar, who is PA to Maharashtra Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sunil Tatkare, stated in his complaint that Ahuja, son of Govinda's brother Kirti Ahuja, and his three friends molested his wife when they were standing next to their car near Cooper hospital three days ago and he himself suffered injuries in a scuffle with them.
The complaint was filed the same day and Janmendra had been booked under section 326 of the IPC (molestation and causing grievous hurt).
He was produced before a Bandra court this afternoon, which remanded him in four-day police custody.
