Exhibition on nano technology
Bangalore, Sep 23 (UNI) The National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), engaged in popularising science and creating scientific bent of mind among students and general public, is organising an exhibition on 'Nano Technology' in all its science centres across the country for two years.
Addressing newspersons here Director General Ingith Mukherjee said the NCSM, which had organised several exhibitions on cutting-edge technologies in the field of science, organised the exhibition starting yesterday on Nano technology to create awareness among students and the general public through interactive models and multimedia.
The concepts of nano-scale, simulation model on Brownian motion and nano-coated glass and spill resistant fibre are expected to arouse tremendous interest among visitors on the emerging technology.
The exhibition was developed in four months at an approximate cost of Rs 15 lakh, with assistance from premier scientific institutes here like Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research and Indian Institute of Science.
It would be presented for the first time in the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Bangalore from yesterday till November 15, he told newspersons yesterday.
