Cyclone warning to Porbandar coastal town

Porbandar, Sept 23: Fishermen have been asked refrained from venturing in mid-sea as warning has been sounded along the coastal area of Porbandar.

Resident Deputy Collector (RDC) A I Mansuri told sources that the warning has been issued following the development of a cyclonic formation about 400 km of north-east of Porbandar in Arabian sea.

Signal Number three has been hoisted at the coastal area.

The warning of cyclone has been issued by the Metrological department officials, Mr Mansuri said.

Cyclonic circulation lay centre at 400 kms from Porbandar and moving very slowly toward north-east, he added.
