Arrangements complete for Brahmotsavam

Tirumala, Sep 23 (UNI) All arrangements are in place for the successful conduct of the nine-day annual Brahmotsavam at Lord Sri Venkateswara temple at Tirumala beginning September 25.

Addressing a joint press conference here today, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer APVN Sarama and Joint Executive Officer G Balaramaiah said all the arrangements had been made to provide free food to more than 50,000 pilgrims in the TTD-run Annadanam canteen at Tirumala and at Vaikunta queue complex.

Arrangements have also been made to draw 28 lakh gallons of water from Kalyani dam and Papavinasam reservoir during the festival.

In view of the recent bomb blasts, additional forces would be deployed at sensitive identified places, they added.
