Three women killed in a collision

Hassan, Karnataka, Sep 22 (UNI) Three women, including two sisters, were killed and two, including a four-year-old child, injured when a Maruti van collided with a LPG tanker near Bharatanahalli in Alur taluk of this district today.

Alur police said the victims were returning to Bangalore after a pilgrimage to Dharmasthala.

The deceased were identified as Mohisina (20), Kajol Mukherjee (32) and Ritu Mukherjee (23). While two died on the spot, another succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital.

The injured were admitted to General Hospital.
