South-west monsoon active over Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Sept 22 (UNI) The South-west Monsoon has been active over Kerala and Lakshadweep with rain and thunder showers occuring at most places.

Mancheri received a rainfall of 6 cm followed by Karipur Airport, Mannarkkad and Thalassery 5 cm each.

Kochi Airport, Aluva, Kozhikode and Mavelikkara received 4 cm each and Kannur, Punalur, Chalakkudy, Kodugallur, Cherthala, Thiruvalla 3 cm each.

Local Met office forecast rain or thunder showers at many places in Kerala and Lakshadweep in the next 48 hours.
