Sensex trades 45 pts down in 'noon trade

Mumbai, Sep 22 (UNI) The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensitve Index (Sensex) was trading 47 points down in the red at 12,227.11 points as the global cues are slightly weak and selling pressure in the blue chip stocks have taken some toll on the index.

Major sector indices on the BSE are also down led by IT down 1.19 per cent and followed by Bankex down 1.02 per cent.

The gainers on the index are Grasim, Bajaj Auto, Bharti Airtel, Gujarat Ambuja, Reliance Industries and ACC all up between 0.75 to 1.86 per cent.

Besides the losers are Satyam, ICICI, TCS, HLL, Infosys and Dr Reddys' Lab all down between 0.93 per cent to 2.08 per cent.
