Rupee opens strong at Rs 45.80/81

Mumbai, Sept 22: Indian currency today opened strong by five paise at Rs 45.80/81 per US Dollar compared to the previous close of Rs 45.85/87 per US Dollar, a trader in the money market said.

In the mid morning trade, rupee was trading at Rs 45.93/94 per US Dollar.

The stock market too opened strong, however, is currently trading down at 12,238.84 points.
