RJD pledges support to DMK nominee for bypoll

Chennai, Sep 22 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Unit of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) today pledged support to DMK nomine S S Ghouse Basha for the October 11 bye-election to Madurai Central Assembly constituency.

State President A P Kesavan, in a statement here, said the decision followed a directive to this effect by RJD President Lalu Prasad.

All wings of the party and volunteers would work for the victory of Mr Basha, he said.
