Rains affect life in Tripura
Agartala, Sep 22 (UNI) Life was affected in the capital city and other parts of this hilly state today owing to incessent rains since last three days.
The rains caused losses to businessmen as people could not move out of their homes.
Early morning rains hampered the Mahalaya celebrations with people staying indoors in most part of the day.
However, braving the rains thousands thronged to river banks to perform rituals.
Climatic situation is likely to remain unchanged tomorrow, local met office sources said.
The state capital received 62.01 mm of rainfall from 0830 hours yesterday till 1430 hours today.
The maximum temperature recorded today was 26.2 degree celsius and the minimum was 23 degree celsius, the sources added.
