Nepal establishes diplomatic ties with Vanuatu
Kathmandu, Sep 22 (UNI) Nepal and Vanuatu have established diplomatic relations yesterday, Nepal's Foreign Minister said today.
An agreement to this effect was signed between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nepal KP Sharma Oli and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Vanuatu at the permanent Mission of Nepal in New York yesterday afternoon.
Following the signing of the agreement, the ministers of both the countries shared their views on the issues of common interest as both being the least developed countries, the ministry said.
They expressed their firm conviction that with the establishment of diplomatic relations, both countries would be able to further promote and strengthen bilateral co-operation in socio-economic and cultural fields in future.
With Vanuatu, the number of countries with which Nepal has established diplomatic relations has reached 123.
