Narain's Formula Rolons will hog limelight in third leg
Chennai, Sep 22 (UNI) India's first F1 driver Narain Karthikayan's Team NK, driving the Formula Rolon cars with Chevrolet powered engine, will be hogging the limelight being seen in action for the first time on the Irungattukottai track in the third leg of the J K Tyre National Racing Championship here tomorrow and Sep 22.
According to a press release, the races, finals of which will be held on September 22 will see over 40 racers from all over the country. The highlight of the races would be the Formula Rolon, driven by Ameya Walavalkar, Aditya Akkineni, Aditya Patel and Akhil Kushlani of Narain Karthikeyan's new academy team.
Team Meco Racing led by the seasoned Akbar Ebrahim, last year's champion Rayomand Banajee, Gautam Maini and Ashwin Sundar, Formula LGB Hyundai and Formlula LGB Swift are the others in fray.
Gaurav Gill, the new talent in the country and the ony driver in India who is rallying and racing professionally leads the table with 19 points after the first two rounds. Gaurav Dalal of Team Prime Racing is in the second place with 13 points and Ambar Ebrahim, testing the youngsters, giving them a hard time on the track, is in the third place with 11 points.
Team Wallace Sports is the lead in the Formula LGB Swift class, comprising Saran, Vikram, Ajay Kini and Saahil Shelar, notching up 42,30 and 23 points, respectively.
Team Meco and Formula Wallace Sports are in the second and third places, in that order.
