Jaipal Reddy appreciates Surat's resilience

Surat, Sep 22 (UNI) Union Minister for Urban Development Jaipal Reddy today appreciated the resilience shown by the people of the city after the devastating floods here.

''I appreciate the resilience shown by the people here. But they need more financial support to come back to normal life,'' Mr Reddy said, while addressing a news conference here.

Mr Reddy visited some flood-affected areas in the city such as Rander, Amroli and Katargam and declared a number of financial doles for the flood-affected.

He also attended a function organised at Narmad Library in the city.
