ITC interested on retail ventures in West Bengal

Kolkata, Sept 22: ITC Ltd is interested in cash and carry operations in the horticulture sector in West Bengal, its chairman Y C Deveswar said today.

The company is also interested in developing a food park and a logistic hub, Deveswar said in the sidelines of a CII organised interactive session with West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee.

The company has initiated talks with the state government for implementation of the proposed ventures, he said.

The company has earmarked around Rs 1,000 crore for investment in the state.
