IOC official Manjunath murder case posted to Oct 6,7
Lakhimpur Kheri, Sep 22 (UNI) The high-profile Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) marketing official V Manjunath murder case was today posted to October 6 and 7 for further hearing.
Meanwhile, the recording of witnesses' statement continued for the second day in the court of district judge S M S Abdi.
The statement of IOC official Rajkumar Zutsi concluded today.
The prosecution had also produced head constable Khushal Prasad as a witness.
Yesterday, another witness Kamta Prasad Kushwaha had turned hostile. Kamta retracted saying he had earlier given the statement under police pressure.
Manjunath's bullet riddled body was found in the nearby Sitapur district on November 19, 2005.
The Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L) alumnus was an upright government servant and had taken a tough stand against adulteration of fuel at some petrol outlets in the district.
