Haryana earmarks Rs 33.37 crore for drinking water, sewerage
Chandigarh, Sep 22 (UNI) Haryana Government has earmarked Rs 33.37 crore for drinking water and sewerage facilities in the state out of which under National Capital Region Programme (NCR), Rs 1.04 crore and Rs 2.45 crore had been allocated for water supply schemes and sewerage facilities respectively for the year 2006-07.
While giving details about the water supply and sewerage schemes at Rewari constituency, Haryana Irrigation Minister, Capt Ajay Singh Yadav said Rs 3.58 crore had been allocated for drinking water facilities and Rs 4.90 crore for sewerage facilities in Rewari constituency.
He said that under NCR Programme Rs 93.80 lakh had been allocated for augmentation of water works schemes at Khijuri Bhadoj, Kamalpur, Tankri, Lakhnor, Dhaliawas, Gagacha Ahir, Pinwara, Kanharwas, Ladhuwas Gujar and Gindhokhar.
Capt Yadav said Rs four lakh had been allocated for various schemes under Additional Central Assistant (ACA) Programme including that for water supply schemes at Malahera, Meerpur and Massani and setting up of boosting stations at Gokalpur and Jonawas.
He said Rs 16 lakh had been earmarked for the augmentation of water supply schemes at Bhatsana, Gokalgarh, new habitation of Maheswari, Bhudla, Dhani Chandpur, for tubewell at Bhurtal Jat and Jant, setting up of independent water works at Kakora, Tumbaheri, setting up of boosting stations and tubewell at Roliawas and for improvement of water works at Dharuhera.
He said Rs 21.85 lakh had been allocated for augmentation of various schemes, Rs seven lakh for supplying water in harijan bastis and Rs 69.50 lakh for Accelerated Rural Proggramme (ARP). He said that Rs 12.50 lakh had been allocated for setting up of independent feeders at Gokalgarh.
He said that Rs 95 lakh had been allocated for strengthening sewerage facilities including Rs 65 lakh for the construction of pucca sullage drain, Rs 25 lakh for providing sewerage facilities in balance colonies and Rs five lakh for sewerage scheme at Qutubpur of Rewari constituency.
