Father-son die while cleaning tank

New Delhi, Sept 22 (UNI) A father-son duo allegedly died this morning due to toxic fumes from a tank in Mansarovar Park area of North-East Delhi.

Sant Ram (42), an MCD employee, used to make vinegar in a tank in the backyard of his home and wanted to clean it up for covering it due to the ongoing demolition drive, said sources.

This morning at about 0900 hrs he sent his son Ankit (12) to get inside the tank to clean it up but he fell unconscious, reportedly due to toxic fumes of the vinegar. As Sant Ram himself went to his rescue he too fell unconscious.

Both were rushed to the hospital where they were declared brought dead.
