Denmark withdraws bid to host 2009 UEFA Cup final

COPENHAGEN, Sep 22 (Reuters) Copenhagen has withdrawn its bid to host the 2009 UEFA Cup soccer final because a planned renovation of Parken stadium will be delayed in a dispute between the owners of the stadium and local government.

The Danish Football Association (DBU) today said it had told UEFA it was withdrawing its application to host the match because of the risk that stadium capacity would be too small.
