Damodar Sarangi assumes charge as NHRC DG

New Delhi, Sep 22 (UNI) Mr Damodar Sarangi has assumed charge as the Director General (Investigation) in National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).

A 1972 batch IPS officer of West Bengal Cadre, Mr Sarangi was Additional Director General (East) BSF, Kolkata prior to his present posting.

He succeeds Mr D Mukherjee, who has been posted as DGP Tamil Nadu.
