Court defers final hearing on Omkara
Mumbai, Sep 22 (UNI) City Civil Court today deferred to October four the final hearing of the plea filed by a small time actor seeking ban on the film ''Omkara'' in view of the pejoratives used.
City Civil Judge A T Vaidya on September 14 directed the defendants to file their reply on the plea by September 22 but they failed to do so, hence kept October four as the final hearing.
Earlier on August 29, this court had earlier rejected a plea seeking immediate ban on the screening of the film due to insufficient material.
The matter had come before the City Civil court following a petition filed by actor Nasim Khan seeking a ban as the film had over 45 minutes of indecent language.
'Omkara' starring Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Nasserudin Shan among others is being screened across the country for the last one month.
