Chowdhary hails SC verdict on JSCA

Jamshedpur, Sep 22 (UNI) Jharkhand State Cricket Association(JSCA) president Amitabh Choudhary today hailed the verdict of the Supreme Court allowing the JSCA and Bihar Cricket Association (BCA), headed by Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, to cast vote in the coming elections of the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI).

In an interim order, a three-judge bench of the SC, headed by Justice B N Agrawal on Wednesday allowed two warring assoctions JSCA and BCA gave the voting right for the September 27 elctions of the BCCI.

Talking to the media persons here at the JSCA office,a beaming Choudhary said''Right to vote is merely indicating that we are an integral part of the BCCI.'' He also welcomed the SC's decision to give voting right to the BCA.

Choudhary said the separate verdict of the HC and SC to recognise the JSCA had reinstated our position.

The members of the JSCA had accorded a warm welcome to Mr Choudhary after his arrival from Ranchi.
