Apranti nodal officer to implement Cable TV Act

Mumbai, Sep 22 (UNI) Senior IPS officer Dr Sanjay Apranti has been appointed as nodal officer to implement the Cable Television (Amendment) Act which makes transmission of paid channels through set-top boxes mandatory from December 31.

A press release said Dr Apranti will co-ordinate with Central Government officers and take appropriate steps to implement the new law in Mumbai.
