Action Committee stage demo in Pondy

Puducherry, Sep 22 (UNI) The JIPMER anti-conversion peoples action committee today took out a procession and staged a demonstration in front of the head post office here to protest the move to grant autonomous status to the centrally-administered institution.

Besides the JIPMER employees,leaders and volunteers of the CPI(M),AIADMK,and Republican Party of India, among others participated in the demonstration.

The action committee has called for a dawn-to-dusk bandh here on September 26 on the autonomy issue.UNI PAB Roy NVN 2005
